It's already been a month since my surgery.
In the first week, the tight, heavy feeling in my chest was the hardest part, but now I'm going about daily life with no trouble at all. Back then they looked so firm and sat so high that I worried a lot, but I can feel them gradually settling and softening as time goes by. They haven't fully settled yet, but it's fun watching them change day by day.
At the one-month mark, the way clothes fit has really changed. I had so little to start with that I was afraid they'd end up looking like bowls stuck on, but the volume came in naturally and I couldn't be happier. Every time I look in the mirror, I'm glad I went through with it.
Recovery was faster than I expected, too. From day three I could handle most daily activities, and now I'm slowly getting back into light exercise. Depending on my posture I sometimes feel a slight pulling or dull tightness, but it's not uncomfortable, and I think it will keep improving with time.
I agonized over this decision before surgery, but in the end it was the choice I'm most satisfied with. Living outside Seoul, I couldn't visit many clinics for consultations, but I read Dr. Kim Uigeon's blog posts and published papers carefully and decided to trust him - and I have no regrets.
Looking in the mirror has become my little daily joy.
