Mentor Xtra 350cc, Inframammary Incision: 2-Month Review

Here's my honest review of the pros and cons I noticed up to two months post-op

​

(I got Mentor Xtra Smooth 350cc and 310cc, done with an inframammary incision)

​

I'd been unhappy with my size for a while, and with some encouragement from people around me, I finally decided to go through with surgery! I love how soft implants feel, so I went with the Mentor Xtra Smooth. The staff at UNE Plastic Surgery walked me through everything so kindly, and hearing directly about the surgical method and how quick the procedure itself would be really built my trust, so that's why I chose to go with them.

Dr. Kim Uigeon is known for his 27 min. breast augmentations, so the surgery went smoothly and cleanly — I healed up without major discomfort or serious swelling and bruising! Also, since it's a private clinic, wait times are short, and the whole vibe of the place felt thorough, friendly, and comfortable! ????

Now that it's been two months, I'm doing really well and feeling healthy (so thankful to Dr. Kim for such a safe and pretty result!)

At the one-week mark, the swelling made it feel like I was wearing armor!

(Looking at it from the side, it kind of had a square shape)

By two weeks to a month after surgery, the swelling had pretty much gone down,

and now, two months out, I feel like there's basically no swelling left at all!

As for the inframammary scar —

up until about a week after surgery, it still felt like an open wound

by two weeks to a month later, it had healed up, leaving a thin, slightly red line

and now, two months later, the scar is just a faint reddish line with softened edges!

​

The downside is that it feels a little less natural than before, and since there's an implant in my body now, I know I need to keep taking care of it and stay careful long-term! Also, since I need more coverage now, it's been harder to find bras that actually fit.

And I've noticed that even a little weight gain makes my upper body look bulkier, so I feel like I need to be more mindful of that too! ????

There weren't any major health issues like I worried there might be, and no real inconvenience in daily life either, so as long as you stay careful, I think this is a surgery that leaves you pretty happy with the results!
