Breast Augmentation Month 1: Left Inframammary Bruising & Capsule Care Update

It's already been a month since my surgery.

At this follow-up visit I had my second round of capsule care, but honestly I'm still not sure what kind of effect it's having. I haven't noticed any real difference or big change.

What's bothering me the most right now is that the bruising on my left inframammary incision area is still hanging around. At first I figured it was just a normal bruise that would fade, but it's lasted way longer than I expected and it's starting to look almost like discoloration. Dr. Kim Uigeon said we should do two more sessions of the highlight treatment to take care of it.

Overall I'm happy with the shape, but he mentioned that my right breast tends to pull inward a bit, which makes my cleavage look a little narrow. So he told me to keep massaging the right side from the inside toward the outside.

Since my cleavage is on the narrow side, he had me tighten up my compression bra even more. Honestly I thought this visit meant I'd be done with the compression bra, but instead he told me I need to be even more diligent about wearing it, which honestly bummed me out.

The good news is I've graduated from the upper band! I only wore it while sleeping, but now I don't need it anymore. Sleeping on my side is still off-limits though, so I guess I'll need to hold out a bit longer on that one.

As for discomfort, there's pretty much none at this point. Over the past month I haven't had any zinging or aching sensations, and it hasn't really gotten in the way of my daily life.

The most important thing is the actual result, and I'm happy with how it looks both dressed and undressed. Right after surgery they looked smaller than I expected, so I kept second-guessing myself wondering if I should've gone with 350cc instead. But as time passes the shape keeps looking more and more natural, so for now I'm happy and just keeping an eye on how things settle.

There's still some bruising left and it'll probably need more time to fully settle, but for one month out, recovery has gone smoothly and I'm happy with the results so far. The scars are looking clean too. I'll post scar photos next time.

I'm still wearing the compression bra, so I haven't been able to buy any actual bras yet.

I tried on a top I used to wear before surgery that doesn't have built-in cups.

It makes me so happy that I can pull off that kind of look even without cups.
