Chest band 65, AA cup — a total scaredy-cat's Week 1 review (detailed pain notes). UNE nailed the aesthetics, the skill, and the peace of mind.
(I'll put my body stats and surgery info at the bottom of this post!)
I'm so happy with the surgery, and both the doctor and the coordinator kept checking in on me the whole time,
so I wanted to write this out of pure gratitude.
*Post order: surgery review > what made me decide > consultation review
So, surgery itself aside,
I'm actually more scared of post-op side effects and the anesthesia during surgery than the surgery itself.
UNE Plastic Surgery
handled "consultation, surgery, anesthesia, preventing side effects, and aftercare"
all perfectly — I'm honestly blown away (and there's a reason I'm saying that).
Right before the surgery, they double-checked my size again,
and I kept whining about how scared I was...
Dr. Kim Uigeon told me it'd be fine, that he'd make it look great,
and said it so warmly...
The anesthesiologist — haha, here's what I was grateful for —
the second I lay down on the operating table, the nurse was putting in the IV and just told me to stay still... it was nothing, but I got even more scared and my heart rate shot up to 140, lol.
As soon as the anesthesiologist came in, he checked if I'd had surgery before,
and when he said, "Guess I'd better put you to sleep fast..." I felt so relieved I just conked out.
I'm pretty thin and keep my body fat around 18-20%... and I'd also had a cold for like two months, so maybe my body just wasn't in great shape,
because when I woke up in the recovery room I was freezing and shaking like crazy.
As for the pain... honestly, I did feel some.
Just for about 3 hours, lol.
But my body looked so clean right after surgery that I was beyond happy with it. Yeah, this went very smoothly and safely.
For the three days after that, I was extra, extra careful.
My back felt stiff and my chest felt like it was about to burst,
but more than that, lifting my arms was really hard,
so I basically lived like a T-rex for a while, lol.
I was worried something might go wrong, so I cleared my whole schedule and just stayed home sleeping.
Day 4 — the upper fullness went down fast, so I took the upper band off right away.
I went back to work doing desk duties,
and accidentally threw my arms up in the air, felt a sharp twinge, and ended up with a bruise under my breast.
Ugh, it had looked so clean right after surgery!!! I was so upset about it.
From Day 5 on, I just started going out and about freely.
Up until Day 5, my body still felt kind of hunched and there was swelling,
but by Day 6 the swelling went way down,
and after going from 46 kg before surgery up to 49 kg right after,
I dropped back down to 47 kg by Day 6.
By Day 7, I pretty much didn't feel anything... nothing at all.
The only thing is I still can't fully raise my arms.
I probably could, but come on... I'm a scaredy-cat, remember??
Anyway, now I get why everyone says this is close to no discomfort.
The bruising's all gone too.
[Why I decided to get surgery]
So, I'm scared of both surgeries and procedures in general,
I'm such a scaredy-cat I couldn't even get a dermatology procedure done.
I'd been thinking about this for 10 years but could never go through with it because I was too scared...
On top of that, I'm the type who doubts even board-certified doctors, haha.
A close younger friend of mine is also pretty picky and meticulous,
and one day I noticed she'd gotten breast surgery done.
But
it looked so natural that I thought maybe she'd always had that body, or that she'd just gained weight,
and then while she was showing me some chest exercises, I remembered what her body used to look like,
so I caught on right away and asked her about it!
It had been 5-6 months since her surgery, and I honestly couldn't tell at all????
And get this — she said the surgery only took 30 minutes...
When I looked into it, it turns out surgery time is closely tied to how smooth the recovery and the discomfort level are.
Being the scaredy-cat that I am, I got hooked on the idea of a 30-minute surgery,
and booked a consultation for an open slot just two days later.
[Consultation Review]
Since I'm a bit of a neat freak, the first thing I checked was the air quality inside the clinic. That calm scent gave my hamster-sized nervous heart some comfort...
and on top of that, the whole clinic was spotless.
The coordinator and Dr. Kim Uigeon
both went over my breast concerns, my lifestyle, and my body type and constitution
thoroughly, covering everything in detail.
The consultation plus the pre-op physical exam took about an hour.
Dr. Kim isn't the type to run things like a factory;
he recommends a surgical approach tailored to each individual person,
and it was clear he cares a lot about aesthetics.
On top of that, he kept saying things like his patients shouldn't have to suffer and should end up looking great, so he clearly takes safety very seriously too,
so I just felt satisfied, stopped overthinking it, and went straight ahead with the surgery.
The aftercare afterward was just as thorough,
and the care instructions were super detailed,
so really all I have to do is take good care of myself, hehe.
I'm still so happy with it even now,
and I kept waiting for a full week to pass just so I could write this review, lol.

The swelling went down better than I expected,
and the surgery turned out really nice,
so now I'm super curious what it'll look like after a month.
