My 3-Month Breast Augmentation Review with Dr. Kim Uigeon at UNE
Here's my review of the pros and cons I've noticed three months after surgery.
(I got Mentor Xtra Smooth implants, 350cc and 310cc, through an inframammary incision.)
I'd always wished I were a bit bigger, and people around me kept encouraging me to go for it, so I finally decided to get the surgery. I liked a softer feel, so I went with the Mentor Xtra Smooth implants. The consultation at UNE Plastic Surgery was really friendly, and once I heard about the surgical method and how short the surgery time was, I felt confident enough to go ahead with it.
Dr. Kim is known for his 27 min. breast augmentation technique, so my surgery went smoothly and healed up cleanly, without major pain, bad swelling, or bruising!
Dr. Kim is known for short surgery times and for his patients having hardly any pain, and from my own experience, it really did seem safe with minimal pain afterward—so if you're someone who worries a lot, I'd definitely recommend getting a consultation!
Also, everyone was so friendly every time I visited, which made it easy to feel comfortable going to the clinic.
Three months later, I'm doing great and feeling healthy.
(Thank you to the doctor for such a safe and beautiful result!)
Three months post-op now, I have no pain, bruising, or discomfort.
The swelling seems pretty much gone too!
(I do notice some swelling in the morning when I wake up.)
As for the inframammary incision scar,
it had healed by one month after surgery!
At two months, it was still a red line with slightly blurred edges.
Now, three months out, the scar is lighter than before but still looks a bit pigmented. I tend to scar a little easily anyway, so I'm just keeping up with scar cream and living with it!
As for the downsides, things don't feel quite as natural as before, and since there's an implant in my body now, I have to keep taking care of it and being careful. I also have to put in more effort than before to keep good posture, and I need to watch my upper body so it doesn't look bulky—those could be downsides too.
There haven't been any major health issues like I worried about, and no serious inconvenience in daily life either, so as long as you're careful, I think this is a surgery you can be really happy with!
