My 6-Month Breast Augmentation Review with Dr. Kim Uigeon at UNE Plastic Surgery

Here's my honest review of the pros and cons I've noticed six months after surgery.

(I got Mentor Xtra Smooth implants, 350cc and 310cc, through an inframammary incision.)

Dr. Kim is well known for doing breast augmentation in under half an hour, and true to that reputation, my surgery healed cleanly and steadily with no major pain, swelling, or bruising! I'd heard Dr. Kim Uigeon is known for his short surgery times and for keeping discomfort to a minimum, and honestly, my recovery really did feel low-pain and safe, just like people say. Also, every time I visited, the staff and Dr. Kim were so kind and welcoming that I always felt comfortable going in.

Six months out, I have zero pain, bruising, or discomfort. I'm so grateful to Dr. Kim for giving me a result that's both safe and pretty.

As for the inframammary scar,

it had healed over by the 1-month mark!

At 2 months, it was still a reddish line with slightly blurred edges. At 3 months, it had turned into a more pigmented scar.

Now, six months later, it's just a very thin, dark reddish line! I think I'm a bit prone to scarring in general, so I've been keeping up with scar cream.

As for downsides, my chest feels a little less natural than before, and since I have implants in my body now, I have to keep up with ongoing care and be careful. I also have to work harder on keeping good posture than I used to, and put in more effort to keep my upper body from looking bulky — those could be downsides too!

It hasn't caused any major health issues like I worried it might, and it hasn't seriously disrupted my daily life either, so as long as you're careful, I think this is a surgery you can end up really happy with!
