Breast Augmentation 3-Month Review: Back to Normal Life 30 Minutes After Surgery

This is a real, honest review! 

(The clinic asked if I could leave a 3-month review, so that's why I'm writing this — it's definitely not a paid review... I didn't even get so much as a snack out of it. I'm normally pretty lazy and not a fan of writing reviews, but the surgery went so well that I wanted to write this out of gratitude.)

The surgery itself was quick (about 2 hours including prep time)..

It took about 30 minutes to wake up from the anesthesia after surgery, and I stayed at the clinic for about an hour before being discharged. I only felt some discomfort while coming out of the anesthesia — after about 40 minutes it slowly eased up, and by an hour and a half later I was totally fine!...

You might not believe it, but I really was totally fine! 

An hour and a half later I walked home and had zero problems doing everyday things. 

(Even so, they told me to be careful using my arms — they said just because it didn't hurt didn't mean I should overuse my arms right from the start.) 

Right after surgery my breasts already felt great to the touch (I thought they'd be rock hard, but they weren't at all)..

I was honestly surprised at how natural they felt.

They didn't look like surgery at all — it felt like this was just my own chest, like I'd always naturally had this kind of figure. (Maybe I'm just someone who responds really well to this kind of surgery...)

I didn't shop around comparing prices at different clinics. I happen to know someone, through a friend of a friend, who does massage work to help loosen up the area after plastic surgery..

Because of her job, she hears from her clients which clinics are good at what, and for breast surgery she pointed me to UNE and one other place.

The first place I consulted at was UNE — Dr. Kim explained everything in a lot of detail, but I could also tell he had this confident, kind of "I know what I'm doing" (?) attitude about this field. 

So I didn't even bother going anywhere else — I just put down the deposit and booked my surgery date right then. (I'm lazy by nature, and everyone says to get several consultations, but since there's no way to really predict the outcome beforehand anyway, I just went with my gut feeling since it felt right.) 

As for the result... I'm really happy with it. It's summer, so even just throwing on a thin t-shirt looks so much better now. At first I was nervous, so I asked for a moderate, safe size, but right before going into the OR, during the consultation, I suddenly changed my mind and asked to bump it up a size..

And I really think that was the right call. Right after surgery you might think "isn't this too big?" but once the swelling goes down over time, you'll 100% end up wishing you'd gone even bigger.

Since you're already going through with it, I'd suggest going as big as makes sense for your body while still keeping it looking natural. (This is just my personal take, so definitely talk it over with your doctor.) 

I'm typing this on my phone so it's a bit scattered, hope that's okay. Breast surgery is expensive and it's not a simple procedure like double eyelid surgery, so I think anyone considering it probably has a lot on their mind — I was the same way. But after going through with it, I really feel like I made the right choice.  

Everyone's body type is different..

and of course there are probably plenty of people who run into side effects, so please just keep in mind that this is purely my own personal experience — take it as reference only. 

I hope everyone reading this gets through their surgery safely with no complications! (By the way, even my mom saw the results and said she wants to get it done too, haha.)
