Motiva Breast Augmentation with Liposuction – 2-Month Update

ㅇ Motivation

I never really thought much about my breasts initially,

but after experiencing rapid weight fluctuations, my breast volume just disappeared.

Once I started seriously considering it, I knew I had to go for it. ?

ㅇ Surgery Date

September 13, 2024

ㅇ Surgical Approach / Implant / Size

Inframammary / Motiva / 320cc, 300cc (left, right)

*Though I have a larger chest wall, I prioritized shape and aimed for a C-cup size when determining implant volume

ㅇ Why I Chose This Clinic

I consulted with only one clinic before deciding.

I was really impressed by their confidence in their surgical technique and approach.

The size and shape aligned perfectly with what I wanted, so I made my decision quickly!

My surgery actually took about 36 minutes, and the liposuction was really what hurt — the breast surgery area itself wasn\'t painful.

Everything seemed to progress really well.

ㅇ Day-by-Day Recovery

(Surgery Day)

  - Felt tight and achy. Since I live on Jeju Island, I flew home same day, but the flight was delayed and we were in a holding pattern for 2 hours — sitting was torture.

  - Riding over speed bumps in the taxi was incredibly painful… no luck with pain meds.

  - Once home, I could manage a short dog walk, washed my face bent over awkwardly, and slept lying flat!

(Day 1)

  - Tightness and even small meals made me feel bloated. I had to take medication three times daily, so I tried to eat all three meals — made sure to get protein, carbs, and veggies in measured portions to avoid losing muscle.

  - Couldn\'t figure out how to sit up on my own from lying down.

  - Walking was possible but had to go really slowly.

  - Couldn\'t raise both arms, but could lift one slightly — so daily activities weren\'t completely impossible. (Though obviously not like normal!!)

Everything felt slow and deliberate; I was living in slow motion.

  - Lots of activities were restricted. Digestion was poor, but the clinic recommended walking, so I tried to do it often.

 (Day 2)

  - Swelling was going down — had to adjust my compression band size (marked it with a pen on day 1, and it was already smaller).

  - Whether it was adjustment or not, daily life was getting easier.

  - The liposuction area was SO sore… really, really painful. Not sure why.

  - Tried driving and regretted it (turning the steering wheel was hard, made awkward movements).

  (Day 3)

  - Figured out how to sit up on my own!!!!!!! (Wiggle around, get your legs down first, then roll up like a blob!!)

  - Took a quick shower… so happy! They said it would be fine starting the next day, but "fine" doesn\'t mean recommended, so I cranked the AC and panted heavily.

  - Saw myself without the compression bra and looked pretty good? But in the compression bra I look like a missile ㅠㅠ

  - The compression bra irritated my skin immediately, got scratched up — even with patches, my breasts rubbed against my clothes and it hurt, so I started wearing it under a t-shirt.

 (Day 4)

  - The scratched areas bled and everything was a mess.

  - Tried driving again, better than day 2, but long distances are still a no ^^

  - Can lift moderately heavy items without issues. Trapezius got tight… I just wriggled around doing stretches!

  - Humans really are creatures of adaptation… it\'s amazing… I\'m already adapting.

ㅇ 2-Month Update

 - If you\'re thinking about it, just do it… seriously, just do it.

Your clothes fit completely differently, and I looked in the mirror wearing a regular bra for the first time in a while taking photos — it\'s so much prettier.
