It has already been a month since my breast surgery! Time really flew by. I had so many worries before the operation, but now I go about my daily life without any discomfort, so I feel like the me from a month ago was worrying over nothing. Comparing clinics, the depth of the consultation was on another level here because it is a breast-focused practice.
I recently had my one-month check with Dr. Kim Uigeon, and he said everything is healing well, which was very reassuring. At the one-month mark I graduated from the compression bra to a sports bra, and my body feels so much more comfortable! He also told me the cleavage will gradually come together as I keep wearing the sports bra.
The swelling has mostly gone down and the shape keeps getting more natural. The before-and-after difference is so clear that getting dressed keeps getting more enjoyable. Every time I look in the mirror, I am glad I went ahead with it.
I am about 160cm and 43kg with a slim build, so before surgery I worried it might look too obvious or unnatural on me. But as time passes I can see it settling naturally into my body, and that worry has mostly disappeared. They measured my size at the one-month check, and it now comes out to about a C to full C cup! I got the volume I hoped for while it still blends naturally with my frame, so I could not be happier. My line in clothes looks prettier without feeling excessive, and I have gained a lot of confidence.
The feel is not completely soft yet, but with regular Caps care sessions I can tell it is softening little by little. I was told this is a normal part of recovery, so I am taking it slow without rushing.
My job involves a lot of arm use, so going back to work was my biggest concern. But since returning, there has not been a single moment where it felt hard. Recovery went more smoothly than I expected, work has not been affected at all, and daily life has been almost entirely comfortable. If I had to pick one thing, it is that I still have to sleep facing the ceiling — other than that, nothing really bothers me.
The pain is completely gone now, and I recently started applying scar ointment. I was told the scars will keep fading with time, so I am staying on top of the care.
Above all, I now understand why people talk about the short operation times and comfortable recovery here. Maybe because the surgery itself was short, my recovery went smoothly, and the thorough aftercare let me heal with peace of mind. It has only been a month, so there is still time for things to settle and the feel to soften further, but I am already very happy and looking forward to what comes next.
