I had wanted to do this for a long time, but raising my child meant I could never bring myself to actually go for it. Then some time off came up out of nowhere and I just went ahead with it. I live outside Seoul, so I couldn't go around to a bunch of consultations and did all my research online instead. After reading Dr. Kim Uigeon's blog posts and papers at UNE, I decided on the surgery right away.

The short operating time, his long experience, and his skilled surgical technique were the biggest draw for me, and I liked the after photos in the reviews too.

When I woke up on the day of the surgery, my chest felt so tight and heavy that I thought, so this is what it feels like to have an elephant step on you. Still, I could walk, catch a taxi, and go to a restaurant, so normal daily things were doable, and I managed staying at a hotel on my own. Apart from that tight, heavy feeling in my chest, there wasn't much soreness. From around day 3 the soreness was mostly gone and I could do everything I normally do. I had so little breast tissue to start with that I worried it would end up looking like an upside-down bowl, but it came out so pretty that checking the mirror every day is my little joy now.
