Mentor Xtra 430/470cc: Week 1 Review (with Accessory Breast Removal)

One week post-op! Still have quite a bit of upper fullness going on... I did accessory breast removal along with Mentor Xtra. The soreness pretty much goes away after about 3 days. I think mine lasted a little longer because of the accessory breast removal — if I hadn't done that, the breast area itself really didn't hurt much at all, just an occasional twinge here and there?

Before surgery I stressed over it so much and was honestly scared, but I think going through with it was better than constantly stressing over it!

What I liked most was that it didn't take long to get back to my normal routine.

This is my before photo. Dieting had shrunk my chest so much and it was so frustrating, but now that it's done I feel so relieved

My chest measurement is 72cm. At my consultation Dr. Kim Uigeon told me I was a 75B, and since feel and size mattered most to me, I went with Mentor Xtra 430/470. I'm happy with it! The size you can actually get really depends on your body type, so I'd definitely recommend getting a consultation.

Since the implant size was pretty big, I was on the fence about it right up until the end, but maybe because I'm tall, once it was done it didn't feel too big or overwhelming at all — it feels just right!

On the other hand, now that I have something there that wasn't before, my lower back and traps being stiff is kind of unavoidable I guess.

After surgery your stomach tends to swell and you can gain some weight, but part of that was from me eating more... I think it'll go away with time though.

When I went in for my follow-up, Dr. Kim Uigeon checked everything so carefully, and I really appreciated that! I'm the type who absolutely won't go to a factory-style clinic...

I'm just so relieved the surgery went well and that the results turned out nicely too.

I really hope the swelling up top goes down soon! It's kind of funny — the lower part of my breast is soft, but the upper part still feels firm since it hasn't dropped yet, lol. I'm guessing it'll settle down with time?!

I couldn't take much time off and had to get back to my normal life right away, but since I had it done at UNE, I was able to get back to my routine fast, which I really loved! They told me the surgery took 37 min., and I even took the subway home by myself afterward.

Dr. Kim and the coordinator and all the staff were so kind, which I really appreciated. I'm pretty introverted, so if the vibe feels pushy at all I tend to clam up, but here everyone listened patiently in such a comfortable atmosphere, and they really tried to reflect what I actually wanted most. I was worried they might push a certain implant on me, but that never happened at all!

I did a ton of research before going in for my consultation at UNE, and ended up booking the surgery for that same day! They were also really thorough with my follow-up checkups. I can't wait for more time to pass!!
