One week in! There's still a lot of upper fullness.. I had accessory breast tissue removal along with Mentor Xtra. The soreness pretty much goes away in about 3 days. For me it lasted a bit longer because of the accessory breast tissue removal, and without that the breasts themselves really didn't hurt. Just the occasional zap..?
Before I did it I agonized so much and I was scared, but I think going ahead with it beats staying stressed about it forever!
What I liked most was that it didn't take long to get back to my normal routine.
This is the before photo. My breasts had gotten a lot smaller from dieting and it frustrated me, but now that it's done I feel such a relief ㅠㅠ
My chest measurement is 72cm. At the consultation Dr. Kim told me I was a 75B, and since feel and size mattered most to me I went with Mentor Xtra 430 and 470! I'm happy with it. The size that can go in differs depending on each person's tissue, so I'd suggest getting a consultation!
The implant size is big so I was second-guessing right up until the surgery, but maybe because I'm tall, now that it's done it doesn't feel like too much and it seems just about right!
On the other hand, with weight there that wasn't there before, my lower back and traps feeling stiff seems unavoidable.
After surgery you get belly swelling and gain some weight, though part of mine is from eating.. I think it'll come off with time.
At my follow-up visit Dr. Kim checked everything really carefully, which I liked! I'm the type who absolutely won't go to an assembly-line clinic...
I'm so relieved the surgery went without any trouble, and relieved that it turned out well too.
I hope the upper swelling goes down soon! The odd thing is the lower part of my breasts is soft, but the upper part still feels firm, probably because it hasn't dropped yet hahaha. It'll be fine with time, right?!
I couldn't take much time off and had to get straight back to daily life, and having it done at UNE meant I could return to my routine sooner, which was really great! They told me the surgery took 37 minutes, and I even took the subway home by myself.
Dr. Kim, the manager, and all the staff were kind, which was lovely. I'm an introvert, so in a pushy atmosphere I can barely speak up, but the mood was relaxed and they listened well, and above all they tried to reflect what I wanted, which I really appreciated. I had worried there might be pressure to pick a certain implant, but there was nothing like that!
I did a ton of online research before going to my consultation at UNE, and I just booked my surgery that same day! They check your progress thoroughly, which I liked. I can't wait for the time to pass!!
