Breast augmentation before and after — real patient review | UNE Plastic Surgery

This is my one-week review after breast surgery with Motiva at UNE Plastic Surgery!

75B > subfascial, Motiva 300cc on the left / 320cc on the right

It is a clinic that specializes in breast surgery and the reviews were good, and when I went in for the consultation all the staff were kind, the session with the coordinator was good, and during his consultation Dr. Kim Uigeon showed me slides and papers and analyzed my body while he explained things, so I trusted him and just felt I could go ahead and have it done here, so I booked it!

My appointment was at 3 and there was no waiting at all, and neither the coordinator nor Dr. Kim seemed pressed for time, so it was really nice!! I asked about everything I was curious about and thought it over, and the consultation took about two hours in total.

What worried me was the size and the shape. I went in thinking I was about an 80A or even smaller, but he measured me with a tape and said I was around a 75B and that I actually had a fair amount of tissue, which surprised me! And I thought I had pectus carinatum, but he said the reason my cleavage does not come together is that the skin in the middle sits away from the chest.

Dr. Kim said that since I have tissue, the subfascial plane would probably suit me, so I heard the pros and cons and decided on subfascial. Originally I cared most about the feel, so I had settled on Mentor Xtra rather than Motiva, but he said that while there had been no problems so far, the subfascial plane has a higher capsular contracture rate, so after thinking about it a lot I decided on Motiva!

I wanted at least a full C to full D or bigger, and after looking at my body he said that back when I was going with Mentor, 280cc would be enough to get me to a D or E, and once I switched to Motiva there was no 280, so he recommended 300.

On the day of surgery I was in the first slot,

arrived at the clinic at 9:45, changed into a gown, had the design consultation,

went into the operating room around 10:30, the anesthesiologist came in, and I fell asleep

I was moved into the recovery room around 11:50!

I have worked at a hospital myself, so going in at 10:30 and then coming to and being moved into recovery at 11:50, I would guess the actual operating time was under 40 minutes! My inframammary folds are quite uneven and he had said he would decide the size for the right side once he was in the operating room, so I think it really did wrap up in no time!

I still had not decided on a size even on the day of surgery, but he said that going too big or putting in too much would not match my body proportions or the size of my breast pocket, so I just left it up to Dr. Kim.

In my pre-op photos the difference between the right and left inframammary folds was significant and the right side was a bit smaller, so he said he would decide in the operating room whether to put in 300 on both sides or 320, and he told me he went with 320!

Honestly, right after surgery when they put the compression bra and the upper band on me in the operating room, I looked and asked why is it so small? They said this is the largest it will look, and I thought, if this is the largest, does it get smaller once the swelling goes down? Should I have gone bigger? But once the upper band came off and some time passed, the size looked just right and the shape settled so nicely that I felt relieved haha

The day itself was really hard, but the next day passed with me just sleeping, and on day 2 I was worried and also had questions, so I saw Dr. Kim. He said everything was fine and that I could use my arms as long as I did not overdo it. He also said the shape looked good and the implants were settling downward nicely, and that I could take the upper band off, so I stopped wearing it and it was so much more comfortable ㅠ!! So from day 3 it got easier, I could go about daily life, and I could feel myself getting better little by little. He said I could shower right away, but I waited until day 3, when I could use my arms well haha

I had heard that the subfascial plane heals more easily, and maybe that is why I felt like I was back to my normal routine almost right away, which was really nice and comfortable!

The upper part is not super soft yet, but it has only been a week and it seems to be loosening up well, and the lower part is completely soft, which amazes me!!

They said I can have unlimited aftercare with Healite and CAPS, so from week 2 I am planning to come in for CAPS about twice a week to keep it managed.

I hope the upper part loosens up soon and the feel gets better >_<

The shape keeps getting prettier and the swelling and bruising seem to improve day by day, so I am really happy.

I want to get out of the compression bra soon and go out and enjoy the summer.

It has only been a week and I am already very happy with it, and I am getting more and more excited!!
