It took me quite a long time to decide on surgery. After two births, watching my breasts shrink and sag dragged my self-esteem down, and it must have shown, since my husband was the one to suggest it first. I ruled out factory-style clinics from the start, and searched by my own criteria — open CCTV, an anesthesiologist on site, and one director personally handling both consultation and surgery — before deciding.
A month on, the difference is unmistakable. It has become natural enough to make the early days of chest, armpit, and neck pain feel like a distant memory. Showering and looking in the mirror has become the moment I look forward to most each day — I find myself wishing the days would pass faster.
Honestly, looking at it now, I cannot say the thought of having gone a bit bigger never crosses my mind. But when you look at someone, it is not great if the chest is all you notice, either. I want to be content with this size, take good care of it, and live with confidence as a woman.
