Breast augmentation before and after — real patient review | UNE Plastic Surgery

I'm a huge scaredy-cat so I went back and forth forever, but I finally worked up the courage and had my surgery at UNE. The main reasons I picked UNE were that they have an anesthesiologist on staff full-time, it's a breast-only clinic where Dr. Kim himself does every single surgery, and he's known for short surgery times with minimal bleeding.

True to Dr. Kim Uigeon's reputation, the surgery itself was quick, I went home right after without any drain bag or compression bandage, and honestly the discomfort was pretty manageable.

Barely any bruising either. I got nipple reduction done at the same time, and that part was actually more uncomfortable — it took longer, there was this tingling kind of pain, I couldn't let the area get wet until the stitches came out, and since they weren't dissolvable I had to go back to get them removed. Honestly that whole process felt harder than the breast augmentation itself.

For the breast aug part, there was some soreness/tightness, but it was the kind of pain that went away with just 2 Tylenol.

I got the axillary incision, and since they told me not to use my arms, I basically babied my arms for 3 days like I didn't even have them. It wasn't really painful, but there was a lot of discomfort. The limited movement was frustrating, and the compression bra and band pressure were genuinely uncomfortable, but the itching was the worst part, ugh. Even now, the itching is still the hardest thing to deal with, seriously.

By the 1 week mark, moving around got a lot easier, the swelling went down a little, and things felt a bit softer too. After getting Healite treatment and capsule care, everything felt lighter and more comfortable somehow.

Since I had some asymmetry, I ended up with 375cc on the left and 355cc on the right. I'm really curious (and excited!) to see how it evens out once the swelling goes down completely.
