Breast augmentation before and after — real patient review | UNE Plastic Surgery

So I finally hit the one month mark and switched over to a sports bra — I was so excited about it, but after wearing it for a few days, I actually find sports bras more restrictive and uncomfortable than compression bras, ugh. And I have to keep wearing this for a few more months... Breast surgery ended up being nothing like the years of fear and worry I had built up over it — the surgery itself was so short, there wasn't much discomfort, and I healed smoothly, which made all that anxiety seem silly in hindsight. Being a breast-specialty clinic, the post-op care was really systematic too, and they were super thorough about checking my progress.

Apparently it takes about 6 months for the capsule to fully form and stabilize, so the aftercare period feels really long.

But every time I look at my chest, I feel so happy and think I really made the right choice — I'm super satisfied.

I had this issue where I could feel something like a tendon in my left arm, and it felt so tight I couldn't fully straighten it. Before my one month check-up, I was so worried that I kept searching online, wondering if it was some kind of complication or if it would leave lasting effects. But when Dr. Kim Uigeon looked at it, he immediately said it was just Mondor's and that it would get better in 6 to 8 weeks, so not to worry. It's been about a week since my check-up and it's honestly gotten so much better. If anyone else has similar symptoms, don't stress about it~

Also, since my breasts were uneven to begin with, they used different sized implants on each side. At my one week check-up, the asymmetry actually looked worse and I got worried, but just like Dr. Kim Uigeon said, by the one month mark it had evened out fine.

Right after surgery I was anxious about everything, but everything Dr. Kim Uigeon told me — that the surgery went well and it would keep getting better — turned out to be completely true.

I was so worried that my nipple reduction scars weren't healing properly, and I even regretted getting the nipple reduction done at all, but that turned out to be unnecessary worry too. After a month, the surgical area cleared up nicely, and my nipples, which had gotten long and stretched from breastfeeding, are now small and neat. I'm so happy with it, haha.

Something I realized at the one month mark... if Dr. Kim Uigeon says the surgery went well, then it went well, and if he says something will get better, it gets better. So don't sit there anxiously googling complications on cafe reviews — if you're worried, just ask Dr. Kim Uigeon directly!!

I live somewhere that's an 8 hour round trip away, but no matter how far it was, I really think choosing UNE for my breast surgery was the right call.

Now that it's been a month, my before pictures look so strange to me, haha.
