Mentor Xtra 320/340cc: 33 Min. Surgery, Same-Day Discharge, Finally Escaping the Flat

Booked a private 1:1 consultation so I could talk everything through comfortably 

- Doctor: Dr. Kim Uigeon 

- Mentor Xtra Smooth, left 320cc / right 340cc (chose Mentor Xtra because it's soft)

- Axillary incision, dual plane, general anesthesia 

- My stats: 160cm/47kg, basically no natural breast tissue, asymmetrical chest

 I had my surgery in the morning. 

I didn't have to move between floors for tests or surgery — everything happened on the same floor. 

It was nice that the recovery room was so close by afterward too.

 They told me the surgery took 33 min. total. 

The main reason I chose UNE was the short surgery time, and second was no compression bandages or drains. 

I was discharged the same day — arrived at the hospital at 10:30, surgery started at 11, and I was out of the recovery room by 2:30pm. 

I was up and walking out on my own within half a day, but I still think it's more comfortable to have someone with you. 

Like carrying your bag, opening doors for you, that kind of thing~

 I think my breasts will gradually settle into a nicer shape as time goes on~

I wore the upper band for about a week, and now I'm just wearing a compression bra.

I started showering after 2 days, and starting the day after surgery I was already able to get back to some daily activities.

 The soreness and disruption to daily life were worst from the day of surgery through day 2. 

There was this kind of stinging feeling? Like my skin was stretching, or something pressing against my ribs. 

I barely had any bruising too.

For about a week, somewhere between 4 and 6am my sleeping position would feel off and my chest would get tight and sore, so I'd wake up and take extra Tylenol,

but after about 10 days I'd adjusted enough that I could even lie on my side for a bit. 

Now I get why everyone says to get breast surgery done sooner rather than later, haha^^

 I'm just an ordinary working mom raising kids, and honestly I used to wonder why I'd bother with breast surgery at this point in my life, but 

I'm just so happy knowing I can finally ditch those uncomfortable padded bras~
