Surgery-day review

UNE has the recovery room and changing room together,

and the facilities were so clean and private that my first impression was great.

They guided me through changing and gargling first,

and while filling out the consent forms, the consultation was so kind — every single question answered attentively — that I felt at ease. As you would expect from a breast-focused clinic, even the depth of the consultation was different. You could feel the know-how of a surgeon who has concentrated solely on breast surgery.

I also received the surgery package they mentioned at the consultation,

and they took each item out one by one, explaining in great detail when and how to use it.

The anesthesia… I fell asleep before I even knew it,

and when I opened my eyes it was already over.

In the recovery room the nurse kept checking my pain levels.

At first there was a slightly knotted feeling along the lower edge and the far left.

The director pressed on the painful spots himself to check and said, this will ease up soon —

and after the pain-control injection and a short rest, it genuinely did ease quickly…

They told me the operation took 45 minutes.

Afterward I did a walking test with the nurse and was discharged.

Since I came without a companion, they told me to rest whenever changing clothes felt hard — so considerate, I was touched..

Notes on going alone..

Going alone is doable…

but when collecting medication or moving around, having a companion would be much easier.

I debated bus vs taxi and just took a taxi.

The moment I got home I was so parched — my first water four hours after surgery felt like coming back to life ㅠㅠ

Then I got hungry, had squeeze-pack porridge, took my meds, slept again..

and by evening I had recovered enough to eat galbitang!

Getting out of bed was really hard though, and the sore spots kept throbbing and prickling.

Week one (check-up + Healite)

I visited the clinic for my one-week check.

I had quite a bit of bruising on the left,

but after the Healite session it visibly faded!

The feel became much softer and squishier too.

I had the compression bra on and worried about how the shape would set,

and the director said: if anything, they look like they will gather too much — let us use the separator garment.

Hahaha. He said the shape was pretty and the progress excellent, which was such a relief.

The director is truly warm and meticulous.

With his extensive breast-surgery experience at a major hospital, he can apparently read the outcome from the one-week shape alone!!! Amazing.

Hearing it stated with such certainty put me at ease too.

Day 8 (back-to-work review)

Finally, back to work…!

I work on my feet, so I was worried, but it was more manageable than expected.

Lifting things brings a slight tingle, but nothing that gets in the way of work!

Can you see the before-and-after difference? Incredible, right? haha. Clothes fit so well now that I am thrilled.

Overall review

Early on, the swelling was so taut that I was honestly anxious.

But the director assured me — the cleavage will absolutely come together, and it will turn out as pretty as the review photos you first saw!!! That confidence reassured me.

And as I kept browsing reviews,

comparing the one-week ~ one-month ~ three-month changes,

my chest looked so similar to the ones in the reviews, hahaha.

Reading review after review,

I am now looking forward to mine getting even prettier with time.
