A month has passed! With the new volume, dressing up is fun again, my self-esteem is up, and little everyday moments feel happier. Checking my chest morning and night, applying stretch-mark cream, keeping up with the medication — this time spent caring for myself has been a joy. My husband loves it too, and my 7-year-old daughter says it is pretty, haha.

As for pain, apart from some tingling and throbbing right after surgery and a jolt when getting up from lying down, there was surprisingly little. There is a reason Dr. Kim Uigeon has the reputation he does for comfortable recoveries.

I think the short operation time had a lot to do with it. My right breast needed a new inframammary fold, so it took comparatively longer than the left — and it had more bruising, tingling, and gurgling sensations than the left.

Seeing how even that small difference in operation time changed the pain and swelling, I understood how much a short, precise operation affects recovery.

My nipples were very sensitive for the first month, but past the one-month mark they are much better now.

I had an inframammary incision, and at one month there is still a dark-red scar line.

For scar care I apply the clinic's ointment daily and bought silicone pads to wear over it. The doctor said my scar care is going well! Silicone pads — worth it!!

Since mine were sagging breasts, I was told the final shape would take longer to form, so I am waiting patiently. They said as the implant settles downward, the nipples will rise a bit more. Mine were breasts that technically called for a lift, but I did not want one and chose augmentation only, so I am not expecting a dramatic nipple lift.

Right now at one month, there is almost no pain (an occasional tingle — like the tissue healing inside), the swelling seems fully settled, and the shape keeps changing every week. (For the prettier.)

And here is the amazing part!

All my life I believed my right breast was bigger, and every clinic I consulted (including UNE) said the right was bigger.

We planned 380 for the left and 360 for the right, but during the operation Dr. Kim judged that the right was actually smaller and swapped the implants between sides.

For the first month the right breast looked comparatively too big, partly from swelling, and I kept worrying whether swapping the implants right before surgery had been a mistake — but once the swelling subsided, the two sides matched up amazingly well! Incredible! I was truly in awe of the director's judgment~
