Sagging Breast Augmentation with Inframammary Incision: 1 Month Review, Asymmetry

It's already been a month! Having more volume makes getting dressed so much more fun, and my self-esteem went up, which added a little more happiness to everyday life. Every morning and night I'd check on my breasts, put on stretch mark cream, and take my meds — it turned into this nice little routine of taking care of myself. My husband loves it too, and even my 7-year-old daughter told me they look pretty, lol.

As for pain, right after surgery there was some sharp, throbbing pain and it stung a bit when I got up from lying down, but other than that there really wasn't much pain at all — it honestly surprised me. I get why Dr. Kim Uigeon has such a reputation for keeping the discomfort to a minimum.

I think the shorter surgery time had a lot to do with the lower pain level. My right breast took a bit longer since he had to create a new inframammary fold, and it ended up with more bruising, more stinging, and more of that gurgling feeling than the left side.

Seeing how even that small difference in surgery time affected the pain and swelling really showed me how much a quick, precise surgery matters for recovery.

My nipples were really sensitive for about a month, but now that a month has passed, they've gotten a lot better.

I had the inframammary incision, and since it's only been a month, the scar is still a dark reddish color.

For scar care, I've been applying the ointment the clinic gave me every day and also bought silicone pads separately to put on it. The doctor told me I'm taking good care of the scar! Definitely recommend the silicone pads!!

Since I had sagging breasts, they told me it would take a while for the shape to fully settle, so I'm just taking my time and waiting it out. They said that once the implants settle lower, the nipples should naturally sit a bit higher. Technically my breasts were the type that needed a lift, but I didn't want a lift — I just wanted augmentation — so I'm not expecting anything super dramatic in terms of the nipples lifting up on their own,

but I'm totally fine with that.

Right now, at the one month mark, I barely have any pain (just an occasional twinge, like the cells inside are healing), the swelling seems to have gone down completely, and the shape keeps changing week by week — getting prettier each time.

Oh, and here's something crazy!

My whole life I thought my right breast was bigger, and every clinic I consulted at (including UNE) also said the right side was bigger.

The plan was 380cc on the left and 360cc on the right, but during the surgery Dr. Kim Uigeon determined that the right side was actually smaller, so he switched the implants between the two sides.

For about a month I was a little anxious, wondering if switching the implants right before surgery was the wrong call, since the right breast still looked noticeably bigger from the swelling. But once the swelling went down, both sides matched up perfectly! It's honestly wild — I'm seriously so impressed with Dr. Kim's skill.
