Upper Pole Volume Loss After Childbirth & Breastfeeding: Mentor Xtra Inframammary

After giving birth, breastfeeding, and losing weight, I lost a lot of volume in my upper chest, and on top of that my accessory breast tissue got more noticeable. It stressed me out — not just how my clothes fit, but every time I caught my reflection in the mirror. No amount of exercise was going to fill that area back in, so my confidence kept dropping, and I finally worked up the courage to look into breast surgery.

I did a ton of research and ended up choosing Dr. Kim Uigeon, who's known for keeping the discomfort to a minimum during surgery. He's especially famous for his 27 min. surgeries with hardly any pain involved, and I came across a lot of reviews mentioning how smoothly people healed afterward, which made me trust him even more. On top of that, the fact that it's a clinic where he personally handles every breast case felt really professional, and looking through the before/after photos, I completely loved that natural, pretty UNE-style breast shape.

During the consultation, both Dr. Kim and the coordinator were incredibly kind, and they went through my body type and the look I wanted in a lot of detail, so I left the consultation feeling really satisfied. It didn't feel like they were just trying to make me bigger — I could tell they actually understood what I was going for.

For the implant, I chose Mentor Xtra since it had the best feel out of everything I tried, and since there was a size difference between my two breast bases, I ended up with 350cc on one side and 370cc on the other. As for the incision, I wasn't into the idea of a scar in my armpit, and I wanted to heal up a bit sooner, so I went with the inframammary incision.

I also have more accessory breast tissue than most people, so I had liposuction done on that area at the same time. They ended up removing quite a bit more than I expected, and Dr. Kim said he designed the overall line with future sagging in mind. There's still a lot of swelling so it doesn't look dramatic yet, but I can already tell my armpit and side profile look a bit more streamlined, which makes me happy.

I'm at one week post-op now, and honestly it's been way better than I expected. Right after the anesthesia wore off on day one, there was some soreness and tightness, but nothing unbearable — I was even able to take the bus home. Honestly, my armpit bothered me more than my actual breasts, and it felt more like the kind of ache you get when you press on a bruise.

There's still some swelling and upper fullness left, and my nipples are apparently still settling into their final position, but even at this stage I'm really happy with how things look. I heard it'll look even more natural and pretty as time goes on, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it keeps changing :)
